The UCLA Robotics MicroUAV (pronounced like "microwave") project is an ambitious endeavor, the goal of which is to produce an ultra-low-cost (<$500) UAV platform for remote sensing applications. The project desires to complete the UAV and test it as an air pollution monitoring system to demonstrate of its capabilities.
The project is currently on hiatus due to the core team members obligations to post-graduate education and career fields. Work on the project may continue at a later date.
An overview of the project including some electrical schematics and the system layout diagram is available from this link: UAV Poster.
Inertial Measurement Unit: Circuit design and PCB layout complete.
Aircraft Platform: Complete.
Flight Control System: In development.
Sensors: In development.
